ACX 250W Road Legal Bundle

The only kit we sell that is legal to ride on UK roads. No licence, no insurance, no tax, no registration, no number plate. Ride it anywhere a normal bicycle is allowed, including cycle lanes and shared paths.

Why this one is different

Everything else on this site is built for private land. This one is built to the UK EAPC rules, so it is treated as a bicycle in law.

  • Assistance cuts out at 15.5mph (25km/h)

  • Pedal assist, the motor helps while you pedal

  • Rider must be 14 or over. That is the only rule

  • Legal on roads, cycle lanes and cycle paths across England, Scotland and Wales

Check this before you order

  • Rear dropout width: 135mm. Measure the gap between the inside faces of the two rear frame arms where the wheel sits.

  • Axle: quick release or bolt on, both fine.

  • Freewheel: screw on, up to 7 speed.

Delivery, read this properly

This one is not held in UK stock. It ships direct from our supplier, so it takes longer than our other kits. You will get a tracking number as soon as it leaves. If you need something in three days, buy one of our UK stock bundles instead.

    Most kits can be installed with basic bike maintenance tools. Each kit comes with clear, step-by-step instructions.

  • Is the kit water-resistant?

    Yes. Key components are protected against splashes and light moisture. Avoid fully submerging parts or using high-pressure washers.

  • Are conversion kits legal?

    Regulations vary by country and region. Many areas permit motors up to 250W; 250W stickers and speed limiters can be used to comply with local laws.

  • How far can I ride on a single charge?

    Range depends on battery capacity, terrain, rider weight, and riding mode. Actual distance may vary significantly.
